Arlington Land Clearing
The first step you must take when preparing for new construction is prepping the lot. Usually, this means you have to do some land clearing. When you're talking about building new construction on a previously unused lot, these lots usually are full of brush and trees that all have to be removed from the land before you can start building.
It's important that you make sure all large brush and trees are properly removed from the land so that they don't end up causing you more trouble later on after construction has already began. For instance, a lot of times people think if they cut down shrubs and are able to get the stump below ground level that it is fine to leave it like that. This is not the way you want to do your land clearing.
When we do land clearing, we typically use a Bobcat to come in and remove all shrubs and brush, making sure to dig out all the roots. If you don't make sure you dig out the roots, most of these large shrubs will grow back, and there is the potential that they will attempt to grow back through your concrete or near your structure or some other undesirable area on your new construction site. This is why you must dig them up to properly remove all shrubs and brush.
When it comes to clearing trees from vacant lots, we use our typical tree removal methods. This involves cutting the tree down piece by piece, starting from the top of the tree, cutting limb by limb. Once we get down to just the base stump of the tree, we then use our stump grinder to grind the entire stump of the tree until there is nothing left. When removing a tree, it would be nearly impossible to remove all roots, but just as long as the stump is ground all the way down to the roots, the tree should have no chance of returning any time soon.
Once all tree, brush and shrubs have been cleared from the land, we also make sure to remove any other large debris, such as logs, sticks, trash, rocks, etc. from the lot and dispose of these items properly.
